1998/2014: Neutrino Mediterranean Observatory (NEMO) and KM3NeT-Italia – Italian Consortium.
Pilot technological and scientific demonstrator for underwater neutrino telescope
Tasks: Detector design and construction, Optical and oceanographic water column analysis, acoustic positioning, sea operations, data analysis, time calibration
Coordination: Member of the project technical board, sea operation manager for seawater properties studies, coordinator of the acoustic positioning group, coordinator of electronics integration

2000/today: ANTARES (Abyssal Neutrino telescope for Astronomy Research) – International Collaboration.

Installation and operation of a subsea infrastructure in Sicily
Tasks: Time calibration and acoustic positioning systems for junction boxes, installation of a new cabled system for subsea power and data distribution.
Role: Director of the execution of the contract for the installation of a novel DC-power and optical fiber system consisting in a 100 km-long electro-optical cable, Cable Termination Frame and medium voltage converters, on shore power supply and electro-optical distribution system, cost 15 M€, main contractor Alcatel Submarine Networks.
