Curriculum
Francesco Mazzeo Rinaldi is a full Professor at the University of Catania. His main research interests lie in program and policy evaluation, research methodology, social and cohesion policies, and the new analytical challenges introduced by Big Data and digital advancements in social research. He has been a Visiting Scholar at several Universities and Research Centres in Europe, the US, Asia, Australia, and Central America. He has been an Affiliate Professor (from 2014 to 2024) at the KTH, Royal Institute of Technology, School of Architecture and the Built Environment, Stockholm. He has been an auxiliary agent at the European Commission (DG JRC) for several years. He currently serves as the Director of the University's Research Center, LaPoSS, CEO of BENCH S.r.l., a Spin-off of the University of Catania, and associate editor of the Italian Evaluation Review (Rassegna Italiana di Valutazione). He has extensively published in the areas of Program Evaluation, Research Methodology, Social and Cohesion Policy, Big Data Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence.
